Google has fired an additional 20 workers involved in protests over the company’s cloud-computing contract with the Israeli government, bringing the total number of workers fired to 50. The protests were organized by a group called No Tech for Apartheid. The group claimed that some of the workers fired were not actively involved in the protests but were bystanders. Google conducted an investigation into the protests and terminated the employment of employees found to have been directly involved in disruptive activity. The group vowed to continue its activism at Google.
